Hévíz is the most well-known health resort in Hungary. The town is famous for its thermal water, which brings about relief for visitors coming here to wish to be healed. The Romans were already fascinated by the wonderful effect of the water rushing up for thousand years, although, it has worked as a professional health resort since 1795. Hévíz has obtained good reputation outside our borders thereafter. The water is suitable for treating locomotor diseases, chronic inflammations, rheumatic pains as well as post-treatments after accidents or operations on account of its composition. The temperature of the spa in Hévíz is 30-35 °C in summer and it does not go below 24°C in winter. The beautiful countryside surrounded by Mediterranean hazard provides both healing and real exhilaration.
